rainy wedding.jpg

Over the last few years, I have been witness to some epic rain storms at weddings. The image you see above was taken about an hour before the ceremony at a wedding in Jamaica. It obviously causes a little stress, and i'd be lying to say otherwise. But the thing I can promise, is that if people want to have a good time...they will have a good time. In this case, we waited an extra 20 minutes or so for the rain to pass and cracked on. The first image below was taken about 20 minutes after the ceremony.

I've found over the years that a rainy day in the UK can often provide the very best sunsets, especially in summer. I've no idea why that is, but often after a wet day, the clouds disperse to reveal the most beautiful golden sky.

There are things in life that we just cant control, but we can control the way we react to them. There are always ways and means to capture photographs on a rainy day, so there's certainly no reason to be too worried about something like that. Ultimately, to have the opportunity to get married surrounded by family and friends is all that really matters.
